Public Works Using Emergency No Parking Signs to Remove Snow & Widen Streets
Attention Downtown, East End, and West End residents who park on-street: Public Works has started posting streets with emergency no parking red/green signs (11PM - 7AM) for snow removal to help widen narrow streets.
Vehicles left in areas that are posted no parking may be towed. The signs go up with 12 hours notice before any work or towing occurs.
Public Works will also take advantage of existing street regulations to perform this work, but need both sides of the street for equipment to move through safely.
If your street is posted, you can park in the following snow ban sites: Cutter Street, Eastern Prom, Western Prom, Deering Oaks, and State Street.
