Remote 4-12-2022 PB Meeting

26 EAST OXFORD STREET

To Residents and Property Owners:  The Planning Board will hold a remote workshop to consider the development of a four-story, six-unit residential building at 26 East Oxford Street.  The subject property is 4,720 square feet in size and is zoned R-6 Residential.  The workshop is an opportunity for the applicant to present a plan to the board in an informal session which is open to the public.  Public comments will be taken at this meeting and written comments should be submitted to planningboard@portlandmaine.gov. Please refer to the document, Guide to Public Participation in the Planning Board Process, for revised procedures for public comment which can be found at http://www.portlandmaine.gov/551/Development-Review.  This meeting will take place remotely using Zoom pursuant to the Remote Meeting Policy adopted by the Planning Board and as authorized under 1 M.R.S. 403-B because of the existence of an emergency or urgent issue that requires this committee to meet by remote methods.

To Residents and Property Owners: The Planning Board will hold a REMOTE Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 to consider the following item by Portland Housing Development Corporation: 

  1. A zoning map amendment to rezone the R-5 Residential zone bounded by Forest Avenue and Riverside Street into R-5a Residential and B-2 Community Business along with a text amendment to the R-5a Residential zone to allow Places of Assembly as a conditional use. The map amendment also includes the rezoning of the R-5a Residential zone north of Forest Avenue into B-2 Community Business.

This item is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. and is 1st on the agenda

At the Public Hearing, the applicant will present the final plan to the Planning Board which will be followed by a vote. The Public Hearing is open to the Public and Public Comments will be taken at this meeting. Written comments should be submitted to planningboard@portlandmaine.gov. Please refer to the document, Guide to Public Participation in the Planning Board Process, for revised procedures for public comment which can be found at http://www.portlandmaine.gov/551/Development-Review.  Due to the existence of an emergency or urgent issue, the Portland Planning Board will conduct this meeting by remote methods/technology at the Zoom link provided on the agenda in accordance with the requirements of 1 M.R.S. section 403-B and the City Council's Remote Participation Policy.

To Residents and Property Owners:  The Planning Board will hold a remote public hearing to consider an after the fact conditional use permit application to facilitate the operation of a place of assembly use within a 900 square foot portion of an existing single-family home at 11 Pomeroy Street.  The subject property is 73,281 square feet in size and is located in the R-3 Residential zone.  A related minor site plan application, PL-000058-2018, has also been submitted and is under staff review.  Public comments will be taken at this meeting and written comments should be submitted to planningboard@portlandmaine.gov.
