CO-OP Tree Planting Program

Co-OpTreePlantingProgram_2022

The Co-Op Tree Planting Program is a program where residents purchase a tree and Portland Forestry picks up the tree at the nursery and properly plants it, this also includes stump removal within the public way.  The Co-Op program has greater flexibility on the type of replacement tree. It is important to note tree registration closes June 1st and trees are planted in the month of June ONLY.
In addition to the Co-Op tree program, we have a Memorial & Gift Tree Program where residents can donate funds to plant a tree in honor or memory.  Tree costs vary, so touch base with our forestry team for more information by emailing trees@portlandmaine.gov or calling 207-808-5448.
