New Project - 144 State Street (Minor Amendment)

To residents and property owners:   NewHeight Redfern, LLC has submitted a staff-level site plan amendment to application #PL-001259-2020 (144 State Street), originally approved by the Planning Board on August 24, 2021 and comprised of the redevelopment of Mercy Hospital and the adjacent Morrison House into a 195,942 square foot mixed-use project, order to separate the approvals of the Morrison House property from that of the larger Mercy Hospital redevelopment project. The subject parcels total 2.34 acres in size and are zoned B-3 Downtown Business.

In accordance with the Portland Land Use Ordinance, notices of receipt of a minor amendment application must be sent to property owners located within 500 ft. of the subject property (or 1,000 ft. if the project is a subdivision or map amendment for a site located within an Industrial Zone). This application will be reviewed administratively by City Staff. This is the only notice you will receive.

A project and plan summary is available for viewing on the Citizen Self Service Portal (https://css.portlandmaine.gov/), by referencing Plan Number PL-001868-2021. Written comments should be submitted to planningboard@portlandmaine.gov.
