Booting / Immobilization

Vehicles with three or more outstanding (unpaid) tickets may be booted if they are ticketed for a violation. In order to get a boot removed, the owner must first pay all unpaid parking tickets, plus a boot fee of $50.


Payments must be made in cash or by MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover Card (Note: There will be a convenience fee charged.) No checks will be accepted. Starting at 5 p.m. we begin towing and impounding immobilized vehicles at the owners' expense.

Call our automated IVR line 207-808-7354 24 hours at day, to pay by Visa, Master Card, American Express or Discover. You will need a citation (ticket) number, you will be  given the option to pay one ticket or all outstanding tickets.

After hours, weekends, and holidays, please go to the Portland Police Department, Information Desk, 109 Middle Street (207-874-8479) where payments may be made in cash.
