Options for resolving a Parking Ticket

1. If you have any questions about the violation, call 207-874-8910; we are available Mon-Fri 7:30 am- 6:30 pm. To appeal a citation online, visit www.portlandparkingtickets.com within 10 days. If your appeal is declined, a court hearing may be requested (see #3)

2. You may pay the ticket. By paying the waiver fee within 10 days, you give up your right to a court hearing. Payments can be made by mailing the ticket with a check or money order payable to the City of Portland, or in person in Room 102 of City Hall 389 Congress St Portland, ME. 04101. You can also pay online at www.portlandparkingtickets.com or by telephone at 207-874-8860.

3. Request a court hearing within 10 days: you must appear in person between the hours of 9 am - 4 pm Mon-Fri to City Hall Room 20 to receive a for the violation. You must present your driver's license and vehicle registration to receive a summons. You should call 207-874-8910 and verify a Constable is available when you want to come in. Please note that following a full hearing the court cost in addition to the waiver fee listed on the violation if you are found to have committed the violation.

Three or More Unpaid Tickets
If you have three or more unpaid tickets and fail to arrange for a court hearing or pay the waiver fee within 10 days of the date of the notice, the city can tow or immobilize (“boot”) your vehicle.
