Workplace Safety
We believe that city employees are the most important asset of the City of Portland and that their safety is our greatest responsibility.
The Occupational Health & Safety Division and Department Safety Officers work together to reduce the number of work-related accidents and injuries, to lower city workers compensation costs, to provide timely and efficient benefits to work-injured employees, and then return them to productive work quickly and compassionately once they are injured.
